The Animal Connection was founded by commercial animal photographer and trainer Barbara O’Brien to provide production-ready animal talent for advertising, film, and commercial storytelling. With decades of experience working on national campaigns, the focus has always remained the same: animals that are prepared, safe, and able to perform naturally in real-world production environments.

Combining deep knowledge of animal behavior with hands-on commercial photography experience allows The Animal Connection to bridge the gap between animal training and creative production. At the heart of the process is collaboration — working closely with animals, clients, and creative teams so that what happens on camera feels natural, honest, and real.
